I have developed and/or managed the maintenance on eCommerce web sites for over 5 years now, and have learned a lot along the way. When it comes to lead generation and sales over the internet there is nothing like having a well built site. For a web site to be built well for ecommerce many things need to be taken into concideration, nothing more important than the user experience. The purpose of the page is to outline my experience with developing eCommerce web sites. Contact me for more information, or to include me in your next project.

My eCommerce Tools

There are many tools available to a web developer when building a web site, and I feel it’s important to use as many of them as possible. This allows me to stay on top of the newest/best tools and frameworks. This also allows me to know what tools are of no use, and to stay away from them.

Search Engine Optimization

One of the best sources of new customers, or reconnecting with existing customers has to be search engine optimization. With more and more users simply depending on their Google, Yahoo, or Bing homepage as their portal to the web, if you don’t appear in the search engine’s results page, you are invisible. Please see my search engine optimization page for more information on search engine optimization in general.

Web Development

On an eCommerce site it increasingly important to make the site function as optimally as possible. Everything from fast page load times to no HTML or JavaScript errors to search engine optimization needs to be executed perfectly to insure a high conversion rate. Please take a look at my web development page for more information on web development in general, and my web site portfolio for examples of my previous web design and web development projects.
